Chaplain’s Corner, October Issue

Dear Parents,

Our chapel service is off to a beautiful beginning. What a great job our acolytes are doing! All those with a birthday in September came forward and received a prayer and blessing, and it was a blessing back to see parents among our sweet little congregation. Mark your calendars for our October birthday blessing on Wednesday, Oct. 29, time as always: 9:30am-9:50am.

There is an arc to the chapel presentations over the course of the academic year. We begin in September and end in May with the proclamation and celebration that Jesus our Good Shepherd calls us by name and leads us out (John 10).

This month, we will hear more words in scripture from Jesus our Good Shepherd, as he shares parables about His Father’s kingdom (mustard seed, pearl). We will learn a little of the Lord’s Prayer every week.

Finally, I hope to see you at our church’s block party this Saturday, Oct. 18.
