Cub Chronicles: Week of October 23rd
Celebrating Our St. Mark’s Community
We loved welcoming prospective families to our Admissions Open House this week! Thank you to our current families for sharing St. Mark’s with friends and neighbors. Your recommendations mean so much to us.
We’re looking forward to Trunk or Treat on October 30 and honoring loved ones with our Día de Muertos altar, on display October 27 through November 2. November brings Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 2, the Barton Hills Block Party on November 14, and Grandparents Day on November 20.
Looking further ahead, save the dates for our Christmas Pageant on December 16 and 17 and summer camp June 1 through July 2, 2027. We’re grateful for the families and teachers who make these traditions so special!

Growing and Learning Together
This week, our PreK 4 classes dug into the St. Mark’s community garden, and our children welcomed firefighters from Austin Fire Station 11! They loved exploring the fire truck, meeting our community helpers, and learning about fire safety.
We’re looking forward to school pictures on October 20 and 21, our Admissions Open House on October 22, and Trunk or Treat on October 30. Our Día de Muertos altar will also be in the Parish Hall October 27 through November 2.
November brings more opportunities to connect, including Parent/Teacher Conferences, Coffee Talk, the Barton Hills Block Party, and Grandparents Day. We’re grateful for all the ways our families help our school community grow!
